my keurig classic is making a weird gurgling noise and barely any coffee comes out.

The hot water tank is empty or the exit needle is severely clogged.

  1. Check the hot water tank. Lift the lid and make sure it's filled with water up to the FILL LEVEL indicator.
  2. If there's water, the exit needle is clogged. Unplug the machine. Remove the K-Cup holder. Use a paper clip to clear the exit needle at the bottom of the holder. Rinse the holder.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The internal plumbing is scaled up. You need to descale. Run the descaling procedure using 8 ounces of undiluted white vinegar. If you've descaled twice and it still doesn't brew properly, contact Keurig Customer Service at 1-866-901-BREW.

HEADS UP: For future clogs, make sure you're not using grounds-style pods or reusable filters that let too much grit through. Stick to official K-Cup pods.
