my kismile ice maker is running but the cubes are tiny and hollow, like snow. it's not making the full nuggets.

DIAGNOSIS This is a water supply or cycle interruption issue. The evaporator plate isn't getting a consistent water film to freeze into solid nuggets. Most likely cause is low water level in the reservoir.

FIX First, power the unit off. Remove the water reservoir and fill it to the MAX line with cold, fresh water. Do not use warm water. Reinstall it securely. Power on and start a cycle. Wait a full 15 minutes for the first batch. The first few cycles after refill often produce slush.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Check the water pump and its intake filter. Unplug the machine. Tip it back to access the base. Locate the small cylindrical pump. Ensure the thin silicone intake tube is connected and clear. The tiny filter screen on the pump inlet can clog with sediment. Rinse it under tap water.

HEADS UP Never run the machine with water below the MIN line. It damages the pump. The 'nugget' shape requires a specific freeze-and-harvest rhythm. If the room is hotter than 90°F, it may only produce slush regardless of water level.
