my lg dlex7900we dryer keeps showing OE error and won't start a cycle, what's wrong?

DIAGNOSIS Your dryer is sensing a restriction in the exhaust vent system, which is a common and often easily fixed issue. The OE code means it can't push air out fast enough, so it shuts down to prevent overheating.

FIX First, unplug the dryer for safety. 1) Check the lint filter and give it a good clean—sometimes a film builds up that you can't see. 2) Go to the back of the dryer, disconnect the vent hose from the wall, and look for a bird's nest or major lint clump right at the outlet. 3) The main culprit is often the vent run itself. You'll need to disconnect the hose from the dryer and wall, then use a vent cleaning brush or vacuum attachment to clear the entire length of the duct, from the dryer to the outside wall cap.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The pressure sensor inside the dryer itself might be clogged. You'd need to remove the back panel (unplug first!) and carefully vacuum out the small tube that leads to the sensor. It's a thin plastic hose near the blower wheel.

HEADS UP A recurring OE error isn't just an annoyance—it's a fire hazard because trapped lint can overheat. If the code keeps coming back after a thorough cleaning, you might have a crushed vent hose or an excessively long vent run that needs professional re-routing.
