my makita drill bit is stuck in the chuck, won't come out even when i open the jaws

Do not pull it out by hand. You risk injury from the sharp edge. Use pliers to grip the drill bit shaft and pull it straight out. Ensure the tool is switched off and the battery is removed before attempting this. If the bit is severely stuck, the chuck mechanism may be damaged. In that case, have the tool serviced by a qualified repair person.
