DIAGNOSIS The printer isn't properly registered on your Wi-Fi network. This is almost always because it defaulted to its own direct connection mode (Epson Connect) during initial setup, bypassing your home router.

FIX Reset the network connection from the printer's panel.

1. Press the Home button on the printer's color screen, go to Setup > Wi-Fi Setup.
2. Choose Wi-Fi Setup Wizard. It will search for networks.
3. Select your home network name (SSID) and enter the password exactly.
4. Let it connect and print a Network Status Sheet to confirm it has an IP address from your router, not a 192.168.223.x address.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Your router might be isolating devices on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands with different names. Ensure the printer is connecting to the 2.4GHz band (the ET-4850 does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi). Temporarily disable the 5GHz band on your router during setup if needed.

HEADS UP After connecting, you must reinstall the printer software on your computer, choosing "Network" as the connection type. The old software installed for USB or direct connect won't work.
