Diagnosis
Your Ninja Crispi PowerPod is likely experiencing an automatic safety shutdown. The most common cause is the PowerPod losing its proper connection with the glass crisper bowl, which triggers a pause in the cooking cycle. This can happen if the unit is slightly bumped or if the PowerPod's rubber feet are worn, damaged, or missing, preventing it from sitting flush and making a secure electrical contact with the bowl's base.
How to Fix It
First, safely stop the process. Unplug the appliance and let it cool.
- Inspect the four rubber feet on the bottom of the PowerPod unit. Ensure all are present, intact, and not melted or deformed.
- Check the glass crisper bowl's metal contact ring on the bottom for any food debris, grease, or moisture. Clean it thoroughly with a damp cloth and dry completely.
- When reassembling, ensure the PowerPod is centered and firmly seated on the glass bowl until it clicks into place.
- Plug the unit back in, set your cook function, and press START. The cycle should now run uninterrupted.
If That Didn't Work
The issue may be related to overheating. Ensure the appliance has several inches of clearance on all sides and is not under a cabinet. Do not overcrowd the basket, as blocked airflow can cause the internal thermal protector to trip. If problems persist after checking placement and cleaning contacts, the internal temperature sensor or control board may be faulty, and customer service should be contacted.
