Instead, it is almost always a failure of the "Safety Interlock" system or a power delivery interruption. The Opal Ultra is designed with specific sensors that prevent the machine from energizing if it detects that the internal components are not fully seated or if the power draw is inconsistent. Specifically, the control board checks for a secure connection between the main chassis and the XL Side Tank assembly. If the tank is slightly skewed or the water line is not clicked fully into the intake port, the unit may remain in a "sleep" state to prevent the pump from running dry and burning out. Additionally, these units are highly sensitive to voltage drops; if you have plugged it into a surge protector or a power strip shared with other high-wattage kitchen appliances (like a toaster or coffee maker), the initial boot-up sequence may fail to trigger the LED display.

How to Fix It

1. Perform a Hard Power Reset: Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet entirely. Wait exactly 60 seconds to allow the capacitors on the main PCB to discharge. While unplugged, press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds.
