my ryobi p215k1 drill driver just suddenly stopped working in the middle of a job, battery light is on but it won't spin, what gives?

Most likely cause is the electronic protection system tripping. The drill has a built-in system that cuts power if the battery is overloaded or overheats. It protects both the tool and the battery.

1. Remove the battery from the drill.
2. Let both the drill and the battery cool down for at least 15-20 minutes.
3. Reinstall the battery. Press the fuel gauge button on the battery to check the charge level. Ensure at least one LED is lit.
