This is the electronic protection system activating due to excessive load or battery overheating.
Procedure:
- Release the trigger.
- Remove the ONE+ 18V battery from the drill.
- Press the battery's charge indicator button. No LED lights confirm a tripped protection state or total discharge.
- Allow the battery and drill to sit for 15 minutes to reset and cool.
- Reinstall the battery. Check the indicator again. Lights should now show charge level.
- Operate the drill. Function should be restored.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If the battery shows charge (LEDs light) but the drill remains dead, the fault is in the drill. Ensure the battery is fully seated. Try a second, known-good ONE+ 18V battery. No operation with a good battery indicates a tool failure.
HEADS UP: The system disconnects power to protect the tool and battery from damage. If stoppages become frequent under normal load, service is required.
