my ryobi p215k1 drill won't turn on at all, just dead. battery's charged, what gives?

Most likely, the electronic protection system has tripped. It shuts the tool off if the battery is overloaded or overheats.

1. Remove the battery from the drill.
2. Let both the drill and battery sit for 15-20 minutes to cool down.
3. Reinstall the battery. Press the battery indicator button. If any LEDs light, the battery has charge.
4. Pull the trigger. It should run.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: Try a different ONE+ 18V Lithium+ battery you know is good. If the drill works, the original battery is faulty. If it still doesn't work, the drill's internal electronics or trigger may have failed.
