Diagnosis
The F2 code indicates a door sensor failure. The microwave cannot confirm the door is securely latched.
How to Fix It
Power cycle the unit first. Unplug it or turn off its circuit breaker for 60 seconds. Restore power. If F2 persists, inspect the door latch hook on the cabinet interior. Ensure it is not bent or broken. Manually open and close the door firmly 5-10 times to reseat the mechanism.
If That Didn't Work
The door switch assembly inside the top of the door frame is likely faulty. This requires removing the microwave's outer cover to access and test the micro-switches. A multimeter continuity test is needed.
Heads Up
Do not attempt to use the microwave while F2 is displayed. The interlock system is compromised. A failed door switch is a common failure point on this model.
