going on vacation for two weeks, can I just leave my bluevua water filter system plugged in?

No, you shouldn't leave it plugged in and idle. For inactivity over 24 hours, you need to prepare it to prevent microbial growth. Shut off the water source. For the ROPOT, this means emptying the raw water tank completely. Turn off the power supply at the switch and unplug it. For the pre-filters (PP, CTO) and post-filter (PCF), unscrew them, hang them upside down for 30 seconds to drain water, then twist them back in. Leave the RO filter as is; it needs to stay moist. When you return, do not drink the first round of filtered water. Refill the tank with fresh tap water and run at least one full filtration cycle to flush the system before use. If you just leave it sitting with water in the tank, the system can develop scale and the filters can harbor bacteria.

This is RO reject water containing contaminants. Refill the tank with new tap water to the MAX line. Perform a manual backflush. Press the water volume and water-making buttons simultaneously for 1 minute. Run a new filtration cycle. The OUT TDS should stabilize after a few minutes. If the high OUT TDS persists, your filters may be expired. Replace them and reset the filter lifespan indicators. The system ensures a 90-95% TDS reduction. With an IN TDS of 300, the OUT TDS should be 15-30. Do not reuse RO reject water. This causes contaminant accumulation and permanently elevates TDS readings.

If they are distorted or loosened, replace them. Use the spare sealing rings included in the accessory packet. Do not disassemble the machine yourself. Pour out the solution, then run 3+ cycles with tap water to rinse. Perform a manual backflush. Press the water volume and water-making buttons simultaneously for a 1-minute backflush to clear contaminants. If the flow is still slow, ensure your input water temperature is between 41–100°F (5–38°C). Colder water slows the rate. Also, the pure water rate is 0.26L per minute under ideal conditions (0.2 MPa pressure, 25°C). Lower pressure or temperature will reduce speed. Never reuse RO reject water. The contaminant accumulation will clog filters faster.

A loose filter will prevent operation. After resetting, the filter life reminders are active: PP/CTO/PCF at 12 months, RO at 12-24 months.

You must discard the RO reject water after every filtration cycle. Reusing it causes contaminant buildup and damages the machine.
