DIAGNOSIS Poor electrical contact between the robot's charging pins and the dock's metal contacts. This is caused by dirt, corrosion, or misalignment.
FIX Power off the robot and unplug the dock. Use a dry cotton swab or soft cloth to thoroughly clean the four metal charging pins on the back of the robot. Clean the corresponding spring-loaded contact plates on the docking station. Ensure no debris is blocking the robot from fully seating against the dock.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The dock's power supply may be faulty. Check that the dock's power adapter is firmly plugged in at both ends. Try plugging the dock into a different wall outlet. Listen for the dock's internal fan when plugged in; no fan noise can indicate a power supply failure.
HEADS UP Avoid cleaning the charging contacts with liquid cleaners, which can cause corrosion. If the robot consistently fails to align, check the dock's location. It requires at least 0.5 meters of clear space on both sides and 1.5 meters in front for proper approach.
