Diagnosis
The desk's safety system is detecting resistance and stopping to prevent crushing something. The sensitivity can sometimes be too high from the factory or get triggered by uneven floor loading.
How to Fix It
You can recalibrate the anti-collision sensitivity. Move the desk to its lowest position. Press and hold both the "Up" and "Down" arrow buttons on the keypad simultaneously for about 5 seconds until you hear a long beep. The desk will now run a calibration cycle, moving up and down to relearn the required motor current for a clear path. Keep the area completely clear during this. After it finishes, test it.
If That Didn't Work
If it's still hyper-sensitive, the problem might be physical binding. Check that all cables (especially the one connecting the two legs) are routed through the clips and aren't getting pinched between the crossbar and the telescoping leg sections. A pinched cable creates constant drag.
Heads Up
Never disable the anti-collision feature entirely. If recalibrating doesn't help, the issue could be a failing motor drawing irregular current, making the system think there's an obstacle. That's a support ticket.
