Yes, that's the design. The Automatic Ventilation (Beta) feature runs your ventilator for 20 minutes when indoor air quality is poor.
- You will receive an alert on the thermostat and in the app notifying you the ventilator is running.
- You can override it immediately with one tap from the alert.
- The feature only activates if you have a ventilator installed and controlled by the thermostat.
If you find it's running too often or at inconvenient times, you can disable the feature. Check the settings related to ventilation or indoor air quality in the thermostat menu or the ecobee app.
