DIAGNOSIS The monitor is likely receiving a limited RGB color range signal (16-235) instead of the full RGB range (0-255), causing crushed blacks and washed-out colors. This is a common GPU-to-monitor handshake problem.
FIX First, check and change the monitor's color format setting. Press the joystick, go to Color > Color Format. Ensure it is set to 'RGB', not 'YCbCr'. Second, force the full dynamic range output from your graphics card. For NVIDIA: Open NVIDIA Control Panel > Display > Change resolution > Output dynamic range > set to 'Full'.
