the door opens super slow from the app compared to the wall button, like there's a several second delay.

DIAGNOSIS That delay isn't the motor moving slow, it's the command path. Pressing the wall button is direct. The app command goes: your phone -> internet -> myQ servers -> internet -> your hub -> radio signal to opener. Any lag in that chain adds up.

FIX First, check your hub's signal strength. In the myQ app, go to Settings > My Devices > select the hub > Device Health. Look at the Wi-Fi signal strength. If it's low (one or two bars), that's the bottleneck. Try moving your router closer or getting a Wi-Fi extender for the garage. A stronger signal reduces the local hop lag.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The delay is often on Chamberlain's server side. You can't fix that, but you can rule out your phone's connection. Try sending a command from the app while connected to cellular data instead of Wi-Fi. If it's faster, the issue is likely within your home network's routing to the hub.

HEADS UP If you have "Notifications" turned on for every door movement, the hub and app can get bogged down processing that data stream, adding to the delay. Try turning off non-essential notifications and see if response improves.
