DIAGNOSIS The wireless backhaul link between nodes is poor. RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) is below -70 dBm, triggering the warning.
FIX Reposition the node. Move it closer to the gateway or another node, ideally within one room. Ensure it is not inside a cabinet, on the floor, or directly behind a large appliance. A direct line of sight is critical. After moving, wait 5 minutes for the system to re-optimize.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Use an Ethernet backhaul. Connect the problem node to the gateway (or a switch connected to the gateway) with an Ethernet cable. This creates a permanent, stable backhaul. The 'weak connection' warning will clear immediately.
HEADS UP The eero 6+ uses a dedicated 4x4 radio for wireless backhaul. Interference from neighboring Wi-Fi networks on channel 149-161 can weaken it. Use the eero app's 'Check Network' tool to scan for interference after repositioning.
