You can confirm this by inspecting the rim of the cup and the threading on the extractor blade. Look for small plastic shavings (white or clear flakes) inside the cup or on the blade base. If the blade spins freely without ever reaching a "stop" point, or if it feels like it catches for a second and then slips, the structural integrity of the plastic threading has failed. How to Fix It
Since stripped plastic cannot be "re-threaded" or glued, the solution involves identifying the failed component and replacing it with a genuine Pro Plus 1200 compatible part.
- Isolate the Faulty Part: Try screwing your extractor blade onto a different, known-working cup. If it screws on perfectly, the original cup is stripped. If it spins on every cup you own, the metal threads on the extractor blade assembly are damaged or bent.
- Clear the Debris: Use a damp microfiber cloth to wipe the threading on both the cup and the blade. Even a small piece of dried food or a plastic shard can prevent the blade from seating properly, mimicking a stripped thread.
- The "Reverse-Turn" Alignment Technique: Before tightening a new blade, place the blade on the cup and rotate it counter-clockwise (left) slowly. You will feel a slight "click" or drop when the threads align perfectly. Only then should you rotate clockwise to tighten.
