the nanit floor stand won't stay tight, the camera slowly droops down overnight.

DIAGNOSIS The friction clutch inside the ball joint of the floor stand has worn out or was not sufficiently tightened from the factory.

FIX Locate the black adjustment knob on the side of the ball joint. While supporting the camera's weight, turn the knob clockwise with moderate force until the joint is stiff. You should not be able to move the camera by touching the monitor; only by gripping the stand arm.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The plastic housing of the joint may be cracked. Inspect for hairline fractures. Contact Nanit Support for a stand replacement under warranty; this is a common hardware fault.

HEADS UP Overtightening the knob can strip the plastic threads. Turn until resistance is firm, not extreme. The stand is designed to hold a static position, not resist forceful adjustment.
