Diagnosis
Flaking non-stick coating is typically caused by using abrasive cleaners, metal utensils, or high-heat cooking sprays, which degrade the surface.
How to Fix It
Stop using the basket immediately. Ingesting non-stick flakes is a health hazard. Contact Chefman customer support directly with your model number and a photo of the damage. This is often covered under warranty for a manufacturing defect if it's premature peeling.
If That Didn't Work
If you're out of warranty, you must purchase an official replacement basket (model-specific for the TurboFry 8-Quart). Do not use third-party baskets, as fit and airflow are critical for this model's performance.
Heads Up
To preserve the new coating, hand-wash only with soft sponges, avoid stacking heavy items inside it, and never use aerosol cooking sprays. Use a pump-spray oil or brush on oil lightly.
