Diagnosis
The remote uses a standard CR2025 3V coin cell battery. Failure is usually dead batteries, a misaligned battery door, or the IR sensor on the heater being blocked.
How to Fix It
Replace the battery. The compartment slides open—use a coin to twist the slot. Point the remote directly at the IR receiver on the heater's control panel from within 10 feet. Make sure no furniture or objects are blocking the line of sight.
If That Didn't Work
The IR receiver window on the heater can get dusty. Wipe it clean with a dry cloth. If other remotes work in the same spot, the heater's receiver may be faulty.
Heads Up
There's no pairing process. If a new battery doesn't work, the remote is likely defective. The heater can still be operated manually from the control panel.
