DIAGNOSIS Remote control signal failure. Cause is typically dead batteries, signal path obstruction, or a reset unit.
FIX Replace the remote's batteries (2 x AAA). Ensure the plastic tab is removed from the battery compartment. Point the remote directly at the unit's infrared sensor, located on the lower right of the control panel. Stand within 10 feet.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The unit may have been reset, disabling remote reception. Manually turn the unit on using the Power button on the control panel. Once it is on, immediately point the remote and press any button. This re-pairs the remote.
HEADS UP The remote uses standard IR. Any physical obstruction, like thick smoke or a person, will block the signal. Sunlight can also interfere.
