DIAGNOSIS The vacuum's base is unstable. This is almost always caused by the floor nozzle being in the wrong position or the wand not being fully seated.
FIX For stable freestanding use, the floor nozzle must be in the 'upright storage' position. Ensure the nozzle is folded flat against the vacuum body, with the brush roll facing inward. Listen for a click. The wheels should be flat on the floor. Also, verify the wand is pushed all the way down into the pod until it clicks and the handle is resting on the dock.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Inspect the four wheels on the floor nozzle. One may be damaged, locked, or not touching the ground. Check for debris wrapped around an axle. The vacuum relies on a wide, four-point stance from the nozzle.
HEADS UP When using the hose and tools, you are leveraging weight away from the base. Always hold or steady the vacuum body with your free hand when pulling on the hose, especially on thick carpet which can catch the nozzle.
