FIX There is no user fix for a stuck thermostat. The thermostat is integrated with the warming plate assembly. The entire warming plate unit must be replaced.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Not applicable. If the plate is overheating, the thermostat is definitively failed.
HEADS UP Do not leave coffee on a continuously overheating plate for extended periods. It's a fire hazard and will permanently impart a burnt, metallic taste to the carafe and all future coffee.
