the wireless hdmi feature (miracast) on my epson 2350 is super laggy and keeps disconnecting.

DIAGNOSIS Wireless projection is highly susceptible to Wi-Fi interference, especially on the crowded 2.4GHz band. The 2350's built-in Miracast/Epson iProjection performance degrades rapidly with signal congestion or distance.

FIX For screen mirroring, use a dedicated wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver dongle (like a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter) plugged into the HDMI port. It creates a direct peer-to-peer link, bypassing your home network's congestion. For file/media streaming via the Epson iProjection app, ensure both your phone and projector are on the same 5GHz Wi-Fi network (if your router supports it), which is far less crowded than 2.4GHz.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The projector's wireless module itself might have a weak antenna. Try moving your router closer to the projector, or use a Wi-Fi range extender in the projection room. For reliable, low-latency use (like gaming), abandon wireless entirely and use a long, high-quality HDMI cable.

HEADS UP The built-in wireless is best suited for static presentations (photos, PowerPoint). It is not designed for real-time video or interactive use. Expect lag and compression artifacts. For movie streaming, a wired HDMI connection from a dedicated media player (Apple TV, Roku) is always the superior solution.
