DIAGNOSIS A blinking yellow light on the 'Learn' button indicates the opener is in programming mode, ready to receive a new remote or keypad code. This can be triggered by a nearby radio signal or a failing control board.
FIX Press and release the 'Learn' button once. This will clear the blinking mode and exit programming. The light will turn off. All your previously programmed remotes and keypads will remain active. No further action is needed.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If the blinking resumes spontaneously, a power surge or brownout may have corrupted the opener's memory. Perform a full system reset: unplug the opener for 30 seconds. While it is unplugged, also remove the battery backup (if installed). Reconnect power and reprogram all remotes and keypads.
HEADS UP While the light is blinking, anyone with a compatible remote can program it to your opener. Clear the blinking mode as soon as you notice it to maintain security.
