DIAGNOSIS Water pooling under the unit means an internal leak, most commonly from a disconnected or cracked drain tube, or an overfilled internal water tank.
FIX Unplug it and move it to a counter you can wipe down. The most likely culprit is the drain hose at the back. Look at the lower rear corner—there's a small clear silicone tube. Make sure it's firmly pushed onto its nipple and isn't kinked. If it's loose, push it on firmly. Also, check that the unit is level; if it's tilted, water can spill out of the internal tank's overflow.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The internal water tank might have a hairline crack. This is harder to diagnose. After drying everything, run a cycle with the unit on a dry towel. Watch closely where the leak appears. If it seeps from the seam where the two plastic halves of the casing meet, the internal tank is likely compromised.
HEADS UP Never operate the ice maker on a surface that can't get wet, like wood without a coaster. The condensation pan and drain are designed to handle minor overflow, but a persistent leak will damage furniture.
