Diagnosis
The extreme heat of the self-clean cycle may have tripped the thermal fuse, a safety device that cuts power if temperatures exceed safe limits.
How to Fix It
Disconnect power at the circuit breaker. Locate and test the thermal fuse, usually near the broiler compartment or oven vent, for continuity. A blown fuse must be replaced.
If That Didn't Work
The electronic control board may have been damaged by the high ambient heat. Check for any signs of melted components or burnt smells near the controls.
Heads Up
A blown thermal fuse is a one-time safety device. Simply resetting it is not possible. Replacement with the correct part number is required.
