DIAGNOSIS This is almost always user error from using the wrong mode. The CrossWave has a hard floor setting and an area rug setting. Using the hard floor mode on a rug oversaturates it, and the machine can't recover the excess, causing a leak.
FIX First, ensure you're using the correct mode. The area rug mode uses less solution. Press the mode button (near the trigger) until the rug icon is lit. Always make two slow, overlapping passes: one forward to wash, and one backward to suck up the excess moisture.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The seal between the nozzle and the machine body can fail if debris is caught in it. Unplug, detach the nozzle, and clean the rubber gasket on both the nozzle and machine side, ensuring no hair or grit is breaking the seal.
HEADS UP Never use the hard floor setting on rugs. It's not just a recommendation—it will flood the rug, overwhelm the recovery system, and leak onto your floor. The rug mode is a different pump cycle.
