the clean solution isn't spraying from my crosswave anymore, the brush just spins dry.

DIAGNOSIS The spray system is blocked or the pump isn't engaging. First, check for the simplest cause: an empty clean tank or a closed tank cap.

FIX Verify the tank has enough solution and the blue cap on top is fully opened (turn counter-clockwise). If that's fine, run a vinegar clean cycle. Fill the clean tank with two cups of white vinegar and the rest with warm water. Without a floor tool attached, hold the machine over a sink, turn it on, and press the trigger for 30 seconds to flush the internal tubing and pump.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Mineral deposits from hard water can clog the small spray nozzles in the brush head. Inspect the underside of the machine—you'll see two small holes near the brush roll. Use a pin or paperclip to gently clear any visible debris from them.

HEADS UP Always use genuine Bissell CrossWave formula or a vinegar-water mix for cleaning cycles. Thick, soapy, or off-brand solutions will gum up the pump and tubing permanently.
