DIAGNOSIS: The most common leak source is improperly seated tubing or filter housings.
FIX: Check all connections.
- Turn off the cold water supply.
- Inspect the water supply line connections at the brass tee and the system manifold. Ensure all compression nuts are tight with a wrench.
- Check that the plastic tubing is inserted a full 1 inch into the inlets and outlets on the manifold. Wet the end of the tubing for easier insertion.
- Verify all filter housings are locked into the manifold correctly. They must be pushed up and turned to the right until they 'click'. They should not be on an angle.
- Inspect the o-rings on the filter housings for damage or misalignment. Gently move them into place if needed. Do not lubricate them.
- If the leak is at the faucet connection, check that the chrome nut is tightened (but not over-tightened) and the tubing is fully inserted.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If the leak is from a filter housing seam, the housing sump may be cracked or the o-ring is damaged. The housing sumps must be replaced every five years. Order a replacement at aquasana.com.
HEADS UP: Do not use tools to tighten the filter housings—hand-tighten only. Over-tightening can damage the o-rings and cause leaks.
