my aquasana water pressure is really slow from the new faucet

— asked by Jordan

DIAGNOSIS: Low pressure is typically caused by kinked tubing, an unflushed system, or incorrect filter installation.

FIX: Systematic check.

  1. Inspect all plastic tubing under the sink. Ensure there are no kinks, crimps, loops, or folds. Cut away excess tubing if it's creating a tight bend.
  2. Verify the tubing is fully inserted—1 inch minimum—into all inlets and outlets on the manifold.
  3. Confirm the filters are installed correctly. For the AQ-6300M, the sequence is Black, White, Yellow. Wrong order can restrict flow.
  4. Flush the system for 10 minutes if you haven't already. Initial carbon fines can temporarily reduce flow.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: Check your home's water pressure. The system requires an operating pressure between 20 and 80 psi. Pressure below 20 psi will result in very slow flow.

HEADS UP: The rated service flow is 0.5 gallons per minute for the AQ-6200/AQ-6300 and 0.72 gpm for the AQ-6300M Max Flow. It will not match the pressure of your main kitchen faucet.
