Diagnosis
The thermal overload protector in the motor is tripping. The motor is overheating due to excessive load, poor ventilation, or a failing component.
How to Fix It
Let the unit cool completely, at least 30 minutes. Check for blockages. Ensure you are not overfilling the jar or blending too-thick mixtures for extended periods. Clean any dust from the ventilation slots in the motor base.
If That Didn't Work
The overload protector itself may be failing and tripping prematurely. This requires motor disassembly to test and replace the thermal cut-out device. It's a sign of a motor nearing end-of-life.
Heads Up
This is a safety feature preventing fire. Do not bypass it. Repeated tripping weakens the protector. If it starts happening with normal, easy blends, the motor is failing. Plan for replacement.
