Diagnosis
Power is not reaching the control board. Check the outlet and the cord first.
How to Fix It
Plug a different appliance into the same outlet to confirm it works. Check the power cord for any visible damage. Ensure the blender is fully seated on the base; the jar must be locked into place for the safety interlock to engage.
If That Didn't Work
The internal thermal fuse on the motor or the main control board has likely blown. This requires base disassembly and a multimeter to test. Not a simple DIY fix.
Heads Up
If you smelled burning before it died, the thermal fuse is blown. This is a safety device. Do not bypass it.
