can i use my ninja dualbrew pro to make iced coffee with the over ice setting? it never gets cold enough.

— asked by Sam

The Over Ice brew is designed to brew hot coffee directly onto ice, which then cools it. If it's not cold, you're likely not using enough ice.

FIX: For the Over Ice setting to work correctly, you must pre-chill your serving vessel with ice.

  1. Fill your cup, travel mug, or carafe all the way to the top with ice cubes before you start brewing.
  2. Select the Over Ice brew style. The brewer uses elevated temperatures to lock in flavor, then the ice melts and cools the coffee to the intended temperature.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: Check that you're using the correct brew size for your amount of ice. Refer to the Approximate Brew Volumes chart. If you brew more coffee than your ice can cool, it will be lukewarm. Use a larger vessel with more ice, or brew a smaller size.

HEADS UP: The Over Ice brew cycle is slower than a classic brew because it uses a different temperature profile. That's normal.
