First, identify the leak source. A leak from the bottom of the brewer itself requires service.
- If leak is above the brew basket: This is a brew basket overflow. Cause: clogged basket from too many grounds, fine grind, or using both paper and permanent filters. Fix: Clean the basket and permanent filter. Use medium-grind coffee and only one type of filter.
- If leak is below the brew basket (dripping from spout when carafe is removed): The drip stop is open. Close the drip stop lever on the front of the brewer.
- If leak is from the bottom of the brewer unit: Stop use. Unplug the machine. This indicates an internal failure. Contact Ninja Customer Service at 1-877-646-5288.
HEADS UP: A small amount of water in the reservoir valve after removal is normal—wipe with a dry cloth. That's not a leak. A genuine leak from the base is a safety issue; do not attempt to repair it yourself.
