Diagnosis
The heating element is not activating for the dry phase. This could be a failed element, a bad high-limit thermostat, or a selected setting.
How to Fix It
First, ensure 'Heated Dry' is selected. The 'Auto' cycle may not use heat if the soil sensor thinks it's not needed. Select a cycle like 'Normal' or 'Heavy' with Heated Dry on. Run a diagnostic test to check the heater.
If That Didn't Work
The heating element may have burned out. You can check it for continuity with a multimeter after disconnecting power. The high-limit thermostat may also be open, cutting power to the element as a safety measure.
Heads Up
Using rinse aid is critical for drying performance on any cycle. It reduces water surface tension so water sheets off. Always keep the rinse aid dispenser full.
