Diagnosis
Complete loss of power. This is usually a supply issue, not the appliance itself. Check the power source and the door latch first.
How to Fix It
Verify the circuit breaker for the dishwasher is on. Check that the unit is plugged in securely at the outlet (located in the adjacent cabinet, often under the sink). Ensure the door is fully closed and latched. The door switch must engage for power to flow.
If That Didn't Work
The thermal fuse on the main control board may have blown. This requires a multimeter to test and board replacement if open. A failed main control board is the next likely cause.
Heads Up
Before calling for service, physically pull the dishwasher out and confirm the power cord is plugged in. Builders or installers sometimes forget this final step.
