ego chainsaw headlights won't turn off, they just stay on dim after i use it. is my saw broken?

No, it's probably not broken. You've likely got it in the first brightness setting. The LED headlights have three states: off, bright, and brighter. You cycle through them with the button.

Here's how to control them:

1. Find the LED button. It's on the top of the power head, near the rear handle.
2. To turn the lights on, press the button once. This is the first brightness level.
3. Press it a second time, and the headlights shine more brightly.
4. Press it a third time, and the headlights turn off completely.

So if yours is on dim, you're in step 2 of that cycle. Just press the button once more to turn them off.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If the button presses don't change the lights at all, or if the lights stay on even with the battery removed, then there's an electrical fault. In that case, stop using the saw and contact EGO service. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.
