how do i block specific websites on my netgear orbi wifi 6?

— asked by Jenna

Use the keyword blocking feature in the Orbi web interface.

  • From a device on your network, go to orbilogin.com and log in with your admin credentials.
  • Navigate to ADVANCED > Security > Block Sites.
  • Choose when to block: Per Schedule or Always.
  • In the "Type keyword or domain name here" field, enter what you want to block. For a whole site, enter the domain (like badsite.com). To block all browsing, enter a single period ( . ).
  • Click Add Keyword, then Apply.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: Make sure you're logged in as the admin. The username is 'admin' and the password is the one you set during initial setup. Keywords are case-sensitive.

HEADS UP: The keyword list supports up to 32 entries. Blocking by keyword can be imprecise—blocking "game" will block any site with that word in the URL.
