how do i change the default print settings for my epson wf-2860 on windows so i don't have to change it every time?

You set default printer properties in Windows, not on the printer itself.

1. On your Windows desktop, right-click the Epson WF-2860 icon in the right side of the taskbar. (If you only see an up arrow, click it first, then right-click the printer icon).
2. Select Printer Settings.
3. In the printer settings window that opens, select all the print settings you want as defaults (like paper type, quality, color mode).
4. Click OK.

These settings will now be pre-selected for all your Windows programs. You can still override them in any specific print job.
