You need to descale it. First, unplug the unit and let it cool.
Fill the water reservoir tank with a mixture of one part white vinegar and one part water. Operate the appliance twice using this mixture, letting it run as usual. Then, run the unit twice more with only water to rinse away the remaining scale and vinegar.
