keurig k-mini brewing a tiny amount of coffee or just a few drops. help?

— asked by Jamie

This is a partial cup issue, usually due to insufficient water, a clog, or scale.

DIAGNOSIS: The most common cause is not meeting the minimum water requirement.

FIX:

  1. Ensure you add at least 6oz of water to the reservoir, up to a 12oz maximum. Add an extra 2oz to be sure the minimum is met.
  2. Press the brew button. Repeat until the brewer begins to dispense fully.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK:

  • Press the power button. Then press and hold the brew button for 5 seconds to run a clearing cycle. Discard the water.
  • Clean the exit needle. Remove the K-Cup pod holder, detach the funnel, and insert a straightened paper clip into the exit needle on the inside bottom.
  • Clean the K-Cup pod holder and funnel.

HEADS UP: If you've descaled twice and it still brews partial cups, contact Customer Service.
