Yep, it's designed for that. You just have to remove the drip tray.
DIAGNOSIS: The drip tray assembly is removable to accommodate taller mugs.
FIX: Simply slide the drip tray toward you, keeping it level so you don't spill the overflow it might contain. Place your travel mug directly on the drip tray plate underneath. That's it.
HEADS UP: The drip tray can hold up to 8oz of overflow, so empty and clean it occasionally. To clean, rinse it with a damp, soapy, lint-free cloth.
