how do i clean the needles on my keurig k-mini? getting coffee grounds in my cup.

Grounds in your cup mean the exit or entrance needles are clogged. Here's how to clean them safely.

You'll need a straightened paper clip. First, always turn off and unplug the brewer.

  1. Clean the Exit Needle: Lift the handle. Grasp the top of the K-Cup pod holder and push up from underneath to remove it. Detach the funnel by pulling it off. Locate the exit needle on the inside bottom of the pod holder. Gently insert the paper clip into the needle to loosen grounds.
  2. Clean the Entrance Needle: Lift the handle and locate the needle on the underside of the lid. Carefully insert the paper clip into both holes of that needle, moving it gently to loosen grounds.
  3. Reassemble the pod holder, snapping the funnel back on and aligning the holder with the two front ribs to snap it into place.
  4. Run two water-only brew cycles without a K-Cup pod to flush any loose particles.

CAUTION: Those needles are sharp. Do not put your fingers in the pod holder.
