DIAGNOSIS
The 10.1" HD screen requires specific cleaning to avoid scratches, streaks, and damage to the oleophobic coating.
FIX
Power off the device. Unplug it. Use a dry, soft, lint-free microfiber cloth. Gently wipe the screen in a circular motion. For stubborn smudges, lightly dampen a corner of the cloth with distilled water only. Wipe the screen, then immediately dry it with the dry portion of the cloth.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK
For grease or adhesive residue, use a screen cleaning solution designed for monitors or glasses. Apply the solution to the microfiber cloth, not directly to the screen. Avoid the edges and the front-facing camera lens.
HEADS UP
Never use abrasive cloths, paper towels, or tissues. Never use window cleaners, household cleaners, compressed air, or sprays containing ammonia, alcohol, or other harsh chemicals. These will permanently damage the screen coating.
