Diagnosis
The matte anti-glare coating traps oils differently than a glossy screen. Standard glass cleaners cause streaks.
How to Fix It
Use a dry, soft microfiber cloth first. Apply light pressure in a circular motion to lift oils. For stubborn marks, dampen a second microfiber cloth with distilled water only. Wring it out completely. Wipe the screen, then immediately dry with the first cloth.
If That Didn't Work
For sticky residue, use a 50/50 mix of distilled white vinegar and distilled water. Dampen the cloth, never spray directly on the screen. Wipe and dry immediately.
Heads Up
Never use ammonia, bleach, abrasive wipes, or paper towels. They will permanently haze the anti-glare coating. Do not let moisture run into the speaker grilles or camera area.
