DIAGNOSIS The anti-glare coating on this monitor is delicate. Using standard glass cleaner or paper towels will create permanent micro-scratches and haze.
FIX Use only a dry, ultra-soft microfiber cloth (like for glasses) first to lift dust. For smudges, lightly dampen a second microfiber cloth with distilled water only. Gently wipe the screen in one direction, never in circles, and apply zero pressure.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK For stubborn spots, use a monitor-specific cleaning spray (isopropyl alcohol-based, not ammonia-based). Spray it onto the microfiber cloth, NEVER directly onto the screen, then wipe gently.
HEADS UP Never use tissues, paper towels, napkins, or your shirt. The abrasiveness will permanently degrade the anti-glare coating, leaving a blurry, smeared appearance under light.
