Setting a DMZ forwards all unsolicited inbound traffic to one device, which can help with incompatible games. It's a security risk.
Procedure:
- Assign a static IP address to your gaming PC on your local network, or reserve its current IP in the router's LAN settings.
- Note that IP address.
- Access orbilogin.com. Go to ADVANCED > Setup > WAN Setup.
- Check the Default DMZ Server box.
- Type the static IP address of your gaming PC.
- Click Apply.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The DMZ feature is for inbound traffic only. For outbound connection issues, check the game's requirements. You might need to set up port forwarding/triggering instead, which is more secure than a full DMZ.
HEADS UP: A computer in the DMZ loses most firewall protections and is exposed to exploits from the Internet. Only use this as a last resort for a single device, and ensure that device has robust security software enabled.
